Our President
ACT president Wendy M. Werderits, RN, founded A Caring Touch in 1992. As a registered nurse and graduate of South Chicago Community Hospital School of Nursing, Wendy began her career as a head nurse in the post-surgery cardiac unit of a Chicagoland hospital. It was here where she realized the importance and the need for home healthcare.

"While working in the hospital, there were times that patients were required to be discharged before they were ready to completely care for themselves. There are also many people needing varying degrees of help that prefer to live in their own homes rather than with relatives or in a nursing home. This is why A Caring Touch exists. My job is to make sure proper care is provided, helping to uncomplicate their lives and the lives of their loved ones."

Wendy has been working in the home healthcare field for over 25 years. She takes a very hands-on role, overseeing all activities within the company. Wendy feels fulfilled knowing that her work enables patients to receive the care and attention they need in the comfort of their own home.
